Pad Thai
Pad Thai, or sometimes called phat thai, is one of the most famous Thai dish. Phat means "stir-fry" in Thai and that is exactly what this dish is - stir fried noodles.
Pad Thai is one of those tasty and simple dishes that is enjoyed by all no matter where they eat - in food carts on the street or in a fancy 5 star restaurant.
In Thailand there are many famous spots that are renowned for making the tastiest pad thai and they have like an almost cult following with long queues waiting to be served.
Pad Thai has also now become very popular abroad and you can find this dish in every Thai restaurant outside Thailand
Ingredients
chinese chives 40g
bean sprouts 50g
tofu 20g
peanuts 20g
shrimp 15g
chicken 150g
chili powder 5g
dried shrimp 20g
lime wedge 1pc
egg nest 1pc
Pad thai sauce
palm sugar
white sugar
tamarined water
fish sauce
chicken powder
thai chili sauce
soy sauce
garlic
sallots
1.soak the noodle in water for 15minutes
2.slice the chicken into bite sized pieces. marinade with salt and pepper, sesame oil
3.prepare pre-made egg nest
4.heat 1tablespoon oil in a wok and put into the garlic and onion, saute for about 2 minutes
5.add marinade chicken and shrimp stir-fry for 4-5 minutes
6.add noodles, dried shrimp and coat well with sauce and add another ingredients
7.garnish with egg nest and peanuts, chili powder, lime wedge, coriander and serve hot.
